Life Pro Tip: If you want your album to hit shelves on time, don't have any reference to azaleas in your nom du rap (or don't be a female MC not named "Nicki Minaj", but that's the subject of a Jezebel article for another day). All this is to say that Iggy Azalea's long-awaited debut album finally has a release date.

The New Classic will drop April 14.

Azalea announced the release date during a red carpet interview at the Grammys. Check it out below:

Of course, female MCs not named Nicki Minaj (FMCNNNM, for short) have had it tough over the last year or so. Angel Haze acted out against her label's continual pushing back of the release date and got relegated to the worst sales day of the year. Azealia Banks is currently speaking out publicly against her label on Twitter, so who knows if we'll ever see her debut. Lil' Kim unwisely jacked her new album's cover art and is tied up in litigation.

Should we start printing up "Reverse The Curse" t-shirts now?
