South Park: The Stick of Truth is a video game that has been in the works since 2012, but is worth the wait from the looks of the recent trailers and sneak peeks we've seen over the last few months. In a brand new behind-the-scenes look at the anticipated video game adaptation of the popular, raunchy Comedy Central series, creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker sit down and explain how it came together and what they were hoping to achieve with it.

Fans of South Park will be happy to hear that the most important part of this new game was that it looked like the television series. In the video below, developers and others working on the game explain how people that got to see some footage and work from the upcoming video game mistook it for a new South Park episode. Clearly the goal of getting The Stick of Truth to look like the television show was successful!

As of now, the release date for South Park: The Stick of Truth is set for March 4, 2014, but some gamers are worried it could get pushed back again. For now, we can all enjoy this behind-the-scenes look, complete with some great backstory of the game. Check it out right here:

What did you think of this new video? Was it interesting enough to justify how long you've been waiting for this video game?

South Park: The Stick of Truth will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
