Consider yourselves one-upped, Grammys. Rather than the garish publicity stunt of having a bunch of folks get married during a downright terrible song, Disney Channel has decided to address the idea of same-sex couples by treating them like the totally normal part of life that they are.

The children's network just featured it's first ever on-screen lesbian couple in an episode of Good Luck Charlie. In the episode, Charlie has a playdate with a girl named Taylor, who just so happens to have two mothers. Other than a sitcom-y bit of misunderstanding where both of Charlie's parents are sure that they are the one who spoke to Tay's mom, the same-sex couple aspect is entirely nonessential to the plot of the show (and thus the world is saved from another "Very Special Episode").

Of course, One Million Moms are up in arms over the fact that they might have to talk to their children. But rather than focus on the words of a bunch of stay-at-home bigots, how's about we just point out Miley Cyrus' response from last year instead?
