Max Wade was arrested for stealing television personality Guy Fieri's Lamborghini a few years ago, had to go through a trial for the theft and then was sentenced to 21 years to life in prison only a few weeks ago. Though this story might seem finished, court evidence has been released revealing how this 16-year-old burglar managed to pull off this Lamborghini theft. It turns out he did a lot of planning and came up with an incredible plan.
We're not saying that we condone the theft of Guy Fieri's Lamborghini or anything like that; we're just saying that this footage looks like it came straight out of a heist movie and it was executed by a teenager!
In the footage recently released earlier this week, we can see how Wade plotted the theft by simply searching terms on the Internet and putting it all together. He learned how to pick locks and even posted a YouTube video of himself demonstrating his skills. Wade also learned how to repel down a building, which was a skill he used to break into the car dealership holding Fieri's car.
The San Francisco Gate reports:
Besides the stolen Lamborghini, a motorcycle and a .357 revolver believed to be used in the shooting, the search revealed a trove of contraband, including automatic weapons, a police uniform, sophisticated electronic transmitting devices, bugs and other evidence of possible criminal activity beyond what anyone had imagined. [...] The cache in the steel locker was a potpourri of gadgetry, disguises and guns. Investigators found a dismantled AK-47 assault weapon, an assault-type shotgun, electronics that can interfere with cell phone frequencies and a list of scanner codes for a variety of California law enforcement agencies. Inside the Lamborghini were three UHF signal jammers for cell phones and two radio signal jammers. Most troubling of all, though, was the discovery of a full San Francisco Police Department uniform, including a badge and duty belt and some bags, containers and a mask.
