Earlier this week, a recording of an old Tom Sizemore "interview" was leaked to the press. In this revealing discussion, the actor spoke about how in 1998 he set up the then President of the United States, Bill Clinton, with his ex-girlfriend, actress Elizabeth Hurley. From there, Sizemore said the two took part in a yearlong affair that involved secret sex meet-ups. Now the actor is backtracking, admitting that what he said is not true!

After the recording leaked and became huge news, Sizemore set up an interview with The Huffington Post to address the controversy. In his apology message, he admitted that he was the voice on the tape, but it was around a time in his life where he was battling drug abuse problems.

"I'm not denying I said those things. It's an old video and they are the rantings of a guy, and it has been chronicled, who had a very severe drug problem," he explained. "It's old tape. I wasn't willingly video taped but those were the kind of folks I was hanging around with back before I went to celebrity rehab and started to get straightened out. I haven't heard the tape but I think it's my voice. I wasn't in the best of shape."

Since this new rumor spread from Sizemore's claims, the two parties mentioned in the affair have dealt with a lot of backlash and criticism. But Sizemore says what he said was not true, and completely fabricated from his drug abuse.

He added: "I do apologize to her for any hurt I may have caused her or the Clintons. I have no idea if Hurley and Clinton know each other. I've never met former President Bill Clinton and I've never known Bill Clinton to know Miss Hurley."
