ABC's Scandal does not return until Feb. 27 with the rest of Season 3, but one big story during the lengthy hiatus has been the news that President Fitzgerald Grant's (Tony Goldwyn) two children would finally appear in the flesh on the show after numerous mentions. Now, the show has cast the parts to put faces to the names.

TVLine first reported exclusively that a pair of Lost alumni would play the brother-sister duo of Jerry and Karen. Dylan Minnette, who played Jack Shepard's son on Lost, will play Jerry, while Madeline Carroll, who guest starred as Ben Linus' childhood friend Annie, will play Karen.

Minnette's other acting credits include an episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Jason Isaac's son on Awake and a spot on the Season 4 Halloween episode of Grey's Anatomy, also a Shonda Rhimes show. Carroll has also guest starred on Rhimes' Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. The two also appeared on The Hub's series R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour.

The Grant children will appear in Episode 15 of this season. The Feb. 27 episode will be the 11th of Season 3.

TVLine also reported the following in its "Ask Ausiello" column earlier this week:

"Well, the teens reading for those roles best be ready to Shut. It. Down. Jerry shows up with a chip on his shoulder that makes him less than receptive to talking the talk that's being fed to him by a media consultant. Karen, meanwhile, initially comes off as very much her mother's daughter  - she might even wonder aloud why Mellie puts up with that man - but said simpatico tune quickly changes when she finds out about [spoiler]."
