Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel has no official title as of yet. Fans and media have widely taken to calling it Batman vs. Superman because of the film's plot, but neither Snyder nor Warner Bros. has confirmed that as the official name of the film. But another clue has surfaced that could give an indication as to what the studio is thinking.

ComicBookMovie points out that Warner Bros. has been registering multiple domain names throughout the last several months through the Internet brand protection company MarkMonitor, and many of the names sound like potential titles for the sequel. Thus far, they have registered names that indicate the titles Man of Steel: Battle the Knight, Man of Steel: Black of Knight, Man of Steel: Beyond Darkness, Man of Steel: Darkness Falls, Man of Steel: Knight Falls, Man of Steel: Shadow of the Night, Man of Steel: The Blackest Hour and Man of Steel: The Darkness Within.

The latest potential title based on the studio's registration is Man of Steel: Fight or Flight.

It makes sense that Warner Bros. and DC would want to keep the Man of Steel phrase in the title in order to express continuity with the first film, but it may not be completely necessary. Christopher Nolan went from Batman Begins to The Dark Knight without missing a beat, although he did put out a similar title in The Dark Knight Rises for the final film in the trilogy.

It's possible that the studio is waiting until the right time to announce the name (like Comic-Con or some other major event) or maybe they haven't even decided the name yet. Either way, check back with MStars for more on this story as it develops.

In the meantime, what do you think would be the best title for the movie, and which title do you think WB would ultimately choose? Let us know in the comments below.
