2010 Winter Olympics silver medalist Julia Mancuso was recently profiled in GQ Magazine, showing how the favorite to win the gold in women's downhill and combined at the 2014 events in Sochi can also have a sexy side. In fact, the Olympian credits her success on luck. Luck in the form of underwear!

29-year-old Mancuso has always had a rivalry with America's skiing sweetheart Lindsey Vonn, but with the Gold medalist out of this year's events due to injury, the odds are in Julia's favor to bring the top prize home to the USA. Despite her incredible athleticism and drive for Gold, Mancuso also credits something a bit more personal as her good luck charm.

Here is an excerpt from the magazine's profile on the young athlete:

"It is not a shock to me when I have a good race," the 29-year-old alpine skier says. "I started to tell people I'd just worn my lucky underwear." And then, in 2010, she actually designed an underwear line, Kiss My Tiara, so there's truth to the snark. Lucky underwear alone, though, can't account for Mancuso's Olympic gold medal (in the giant slalom at Turin in 2006) or her two silvers (in Vancouver in 2010). Or, for that matter, the strong odds that she'll medal again this year in Sochi.

We shouldn't be too surprised that the magazine, known for sexy photoshoots and stories, turned the attention to Mancuso's underwear, but no one's really complaining.
