There's not much the world has waited longer for than boxing have for Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao to fight, however the latest words of Manny's camp may swiftly change that. His fight promoter Bob Arum has labelled Mayweather as like Adolf Hitler during his latest interview. Both camps have avoided fighting one another and made reasons for not doing so, but it appears more likely the pair just don't want to raise their games to fight one another, no matter how much it would earn them financially and with regards to respect.

Arum stated that Mayweather is always changing his demands and followed that up by saying "This is like a tactic, I'm not equating the politics, it's like Hitler," Does this mean they will fight in 2014, or 2014 perhaps? Not quite, Arum continued saying " No. No. It's not going to get anybody closer to that fight."

The pair have gone back and forth for years ad it would be one of the biggest selling boxing fights of all time. It's the one everybody wants to see, and the boxing authorities should make it happen, sadly the fighters have too much power to opt against certain fights. So who is to blame for this fight not happening? Mayweather has asked for a very strict drug testing procedure to take place and more of the money on offer, so that hasn't made this an easy fight to agree to for Manny's camp. However, Manny has used clever tactics to avoid it also, and knowing his career is near its end it's hard to see him changing his mind any time soon.

Expect Floyd to face Britain's Amir Khan before long, and although that's a fight the world do want to see, it's not the one the world needs to see. Will they ever go toe-to-toe? Never say never, but it's looking increasingly unlikely as the days go by.
