A couple of years ago it appeared that Selena was perfect. As is the same with all humans, she suffered from a few bad choices, but she's on the mend now. Although she wasn't there for substance abuse, she recently spent two weeks at an Arizona rehab clinic, and she has since openly discussed it with the public. It seems she's raring to go, and she won't let anything get in her way now she's returned from rehab.

Selena has always been in control of the situation and her representatives have confirmed that she "voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse." As they say, the first step in overcoming any problem is acknowledging it yourself, and it appears she did that before anybody had the chance to try and help her otherwise.

The 21-year old is known for her gorgeous appearance, and her ability to act and sing, and generally be an all round entertainment goddess. Where do celebrities like Selena turn when it's time to get advice and help? Luckily for Gomez her good friend, Demi Lovato, had been in rehab for substance abuse and an eating disorder. In the latest edition of Marie Claire Selena confirmed Demi's experience would help her. She said "we've known her for 14 years and we've been best friends," and finished by saying "she's amazing. I love her."

After thanking her fans and seeming back to her old self, it's clear she's ready to put her past behind her and get back to the glamorous girl the public once adored. With the bravery she's shown it shouldn't be long before Selena is back on top and this is just a distant memory.
