The Grammys are over but some of the Academy's decisions are still ruffling a few feathers. In what is probably considered one of the greatest Grammy snubs of all time, Macklemore took home the "Hip Hop Album of the Year" award, which many felt belonged to Kendrick Lamar.

After the show, Macklemore took to Instagram to share text messages he sent to Kendrick Lamar. In the texts, Mack had this to say:

"You got robbed. I wanted you to win. It's weird and sucks that I robbed you. I was gonna say that during the speech. Then the music started playing during my speech and I froze. Anyway, you know what it is. Congrats on this year and your music. Appreciate you as an artist and as a friend. Much love"

Macklemore fans took his words as a kind gesture that added to his socially conscious demeanor but hip-hop fans were a little less accepting saying the apology wasn't genuine and posting the texts thread made it less authentic.

One of those to express their feelings on Mack's apology was YMCMB rapper Drake. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Drake had this to say: "that s**t was wack as f**k."

Drizzy went on to elaborate saying, "I was like, 'You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn't deserve it, go get better - make better music. "It felt cheap. It didn't feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won?"

And that wasn't all he had to say, apparently Drake was expecting an apology too.

"To name just Kendrick? That s**t made me feel funny," Drake said. "No, in that case, you robbed everybody. We all need text messages!"

Do you agree with Drake?
