The third theatrical trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been released to help build the anticipation for the superhero sequel, which hits theaters on May 2. After the first theatrical trailer and the "Enemies Unite" Super Bowl spot, fans might be wondering what new footage is left for the third trailer.

Well, the simple answer is "not much," as this latest trailer does not offer a peek at any more secrets or plot points from the movie, nor does it hint at anything major (such as the rumored death of Gwen Stacy) in the film. Instead, the trailer, which you can watch below, takes clips from the previous trailers and repackages them.

The first Amazing Spider-Man film provided a somewhat new origin story for Spidey that differed from the Sam Raimi trilogy. The second movie, though, is chock full of plot developments, as the movie serves as a launching point for the future of the franchise, which we know will include two more Amazing Spider-Man films, a Venom movie and a Sinister Six film.

Here's a rundown of all the elements at play in the sequel, along with some speculation:

- Max Dillon (Jamie Foxx) turns into Electro and serves as the main antagonist of the film.

- The Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and his giant mechanical suit square off with Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield).

- The Green Goblin, presumably Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), enters the picture.

- The weapons of Doctor Octopus and the Vulture appeared in the first trailer.

- The popular fan theory is that Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) will die in this film much like she did in the comics.

- Peter Parker and Gwen continue their relationship, while Peter reunites with Harry during college.

- B.J. Novak's character of Alistair Smythe could play a role in this film, even just to set up future ones.
