The March 3 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw will take place in Chicago, the hometown of CM Punk, who abruptly quit the company after the Royal Rumble. Many fans expect the crowd to be raucous and to hijack the show with "CM Punk" chants, and WWE is reportedly aware of this possibility.

The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE is concerned about the crowd and could use the Undertaker, Hulk Hogan or both to pacify the crowd somewhat. The two men are scheduled to return on the Feb. 24 edition of Raw (the night the WWE Network launches), though neither has been advertised for March 3.

Reportedly, the WWE also had some concern that fans at the Staples Center in Los Angeles would hijack the John Cena vs. Randy Orton main event, so the company used Daniel Bryan just before that match to counteract that possibility. But the L.A. crowd did not chant for Punk as much as in previous weeks, and the feeling is that the fervor has subsided (except for Chicago).

The Wrestling Observer also reports that those within WWE have mixed feelings about Punk's exit. Few agree with the way he did it (he walked out just before Monday Night Raw went on the air), but others believe his concerns were valid. Rumor also has it that Punk was believed to be popular, but not someone that sold tickets or brought in pay-per-view buys with the exception of a few events here and there.

Sting Update

The Wrestling Observer also notes that WWE has not made its deal with Sting official yet because the company is taking its time. WWE is supposedly not in a rush to sign him because they have no plans to use him at WrestleMania 30 in early April, though the report states that Sting had hoped for a match with the Undertaker at the event.

Undertaker's WrestleMania opponents in the past few years have supposedly met with him at his private gym to prepare the match, and Sting could and would do that because he lives in Dallas.

Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar has been reported for quite a while as the match for Mania, though some believe that Lesnar would not want to put in the extra time to work out the match.
