Modern Family actress Ariel Winters' mother, Chrystal Workman, has aimed to call 83 witnesses to the stand to defend herself against child abuse allegations. According to TeenVogue.com, Court documents filed by her sister, Shanelle Gray, included allegations that their mother insulted Ariel's weight and deprived her of food. Workman plans to fight the charges and question the witnesses on the stand herself. If the case goes to trial, Winters will turn 18 before the trial is over.

In an interview with Teen Vogue, Winters said, "I had body insecurities when I was younger. I still do. Every girl has insecurities-mine were heightened at the time because my mother wasn't supportive." Since moving in with Gray and Gray's fiancee, Winters has adjusted to average teen things like curfews and driving lessons.  Since the move, she said she has gained more of a family life and has been happy.

Between acting, singing (Winters' cover of Taylor Swift's I Knew You Were Trouble has reached over a quarter-million views), and high school, Winters has a full schedule to keep her busy.  She has signed with music managers and said, "I'm trying to get the word out there that I sing. I was writing some of my own songs, and one day I said, 'I really want to do this,.'"

When questioned about her future by Teen Vogue, Winters said, "I have all these crazy ideas of what I want to be-I would be an FBI agent or a forensic scientist if I weren't an actor or singer. Or I'll just go to film school and I'll be a director and a writer. I guess I'm a bit of a dreamer."
