David Hasslhoff's younger daughter, Hayley, strutted her stuff and showed off her curves on the catwalk of a British Plus Size fashion show at London's Vinopolis on Friday (Feb. 14).
According to reports, the show isn't yet an official part of London Fashion Week, but Hayley, and other plus sized models, hope it might be included one day in the near future.
Here's what Hayley had to say of the show:
"Calling it 'plus-size' doesn't do it justice. It's about women with curves and women of all shapes and sizes. I just hope one day [shows like this one] will get the same respect."
This wasn't Hayley's first time on the runway but her dad is still just as happy for his baby girl. He shared a picture of Hayley via Instagram earlier this week along with this caption:
"So proud of my daughter @hhasselhoff good luck this weekend in London! Wish I could be there!"
This is a big move for Hayley and MStars commends her on speaking out on the need for diversity of body shapes for models. Kudos Hayley Hasselhoff!
Body image has been an issue in our society for quite some time now.
Back in December, MStars reported on a growing controversy over the illustration of a plus-size Barbie.
The plus-size doll depicts Barbie with a double-chin and curvier limbs. Users complained that the illustrator went a little overboard with its depiction of a larger Barbie.
Let us know what you think of a plus-size Barbie and a fashion show for plus-size models.
