Breadcrumb Trail is a film following the making and later influence of Slint's 1991 classic Spiderland. The Lance Bangs-directed film is included with the upcoming deluxe reissue of the post-rock touchstone and is screening in select cities. Check out the trailer below:

The film contains interviews with Matt Sweeney, James Murphy, Ian MacKaye, Steve Albini and (of course) members of the band.

"My new feature length documentary Breadcrumb Trail is about Slint and the Louisville music culture they emerged from. It includes footage going back to the early 1990s that I shot when repeatedly driving up from Athens, GA to Louisville to try to chase rumors of what they guys were up to," Bangs said in a press release. "Over the years I tracked down more stories about them, then began filming interviews with each of the band members and their contemporaries. We also unearthed some unseen/uncirculated footage from their few live performances as well as the writing and arranging of Spiderland.

The deluxe reissue drops on April 15 and if you happen to be in San Francisco, Philadelphia or Los Angeles, you can catch a special screening. Check out dates here.

And if you haven't heard Spiderland before, get your head on straight. I promise it won't be as disappointing as that time when Zach Braff forced you to listen to The Shins.
