Do you remember back in 2011 when Nike up and released Marty McFly's Back To The Future II hi-tops, raising $6 million for the Michael J. Fox Foundation in the process?

Well, as great as those 2011 Nike MAG sneakers were, they were missing one crucial component: power (or "self-tying") laces. Nike designer Tinker Hatfield looks to be out to change that.

Via Sole Collector:

During an appearance at the Jordan Brand's Flight Lab space in New Orleans earlier today, designer Tinker Hatfield was asked about the possibility of seeing power lacing next year, and his answer may surprise you.

"Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say YES!" said Hatfield.

So there you have it. The man himself confirming that we will be seeing power laces again in 2015.

Since everyone makes the same joke at this point, I'll just say "something something hoverboard" and let you fill in the blanks.
