Over the weekend, One Direction's Niall Horan and Selena Gomez were spotted on what looked like a date in London, sparking romance rumors and break up rumors considering Niall and Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin were recently in a relationship. Now according to an insider, it looks like the photo of the two going viral was all part of Selena's plan to make her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber jealous over her hooking up with the 1D heartthrob.

"She knows it's going to piss Justin off because he always says that 1D is trying to steal his crown," a source said after eyewitnesses spotted the Niall and Gomez apparently making out.

The insider added: "Selena is happy but it's not looking like a huge relationship is going to come out of this recent hook-up. Friends with benefits is what she likes at this time. Would she see [Niall] again? Yes. He's being a gentleman and that is great for her. She'll hang out with him again because he will be able to take her to some special places."

After these two were spotted together, news of Niall ending his relationship with supermodel Barbara Palvin were pretty much confirmed. The two spent Valentine's Day apart, which led most to believe that the romance that started late in 2013 didn't make it too far into 2014.
