The Biggest British pop music awards are taking place. The equal to the American Grammy Awards, the stars of the world flock to Britain and the world's eyes are locked on which stars will pick up the coveted awards and which will fall short. Some of the best ever artists have been in attendance, or won several awards, and that's only added to its prestige. The 2014 Brit Awards takes place today, February 19th 2014.

There are always a few some would consider 'Ones to watch' on a night like this, and this years no different. Bruno Mars has built up a huge reputation over the last few years and started his year by headlining the Super Bowl Half Time Show, and that has further added to the speculation that he will walk away with the best International Male Solo Artist award. He has sold over 10 million albums across the world, and is known for his brilliant live performances. Expect him to steal the show.

When it comes to the ladies, Katy Perry is always up there as a top contender for any award, and her fourth album, Prism, has topped both the US and British charts, so it'd be no surprise if she was to win the International Female Solo Artist. Elsewhere Ellie Goulding is known her stunning vocals and incredible looks, so expect her to grab the attention, regardless of who wins the awards.

On top of these stars, fans will be treated to appearances by James Corden, One Direction and Pharrell Williams. It's a show you simply cannot miss.
