MTV's Real World: Ex-plosion returned Feb. 19. The show had left off with the cast-mates' exes moving in, a surprise that came as a shock to everyone in the house.  There was an initial shock and surprise when the announcement was made, but then everyone hadto wait to see how the pieces would fall and boy did they fall.

Within the first two minutes of the, Tom and Jamie break up.  The two of them had been dating from around day three in the house.  Things were going well but when the Exes showed up, the game changed.  His ex, Haily, glows, thinking its their chance, but Tom says he wants all the Exes to go home.

"It had nothing to do with you, I promise," Tom says to Hailey and her face instantly sinks.

The first words Tom says after they return from their day of fun and breaking up in the sun are no shock.  He says,  "Will you talk to me please?  Will you ever want to talk?"

His questions are answered by a half-hearted, negative grunt by Jamie who has smushed her face into her pillows on her bed.

What I don't get about Tom taking the "Girlfriend" title away is why he gave it to Jamie in the first place.  Jamie was insecure and she would get jealous at the bars when Tom would talk to other women.  He gave her the title so that she would feel comfortable in their relationship standing.  Suddenly, Hailey shows up and now he wants to take the title back?  Why is it that he wanted Jamie to feel comfortable and secure when it came to other women, but not with his ex-Girlfriend?

Really shady, Tom.

Any mention of Tom's feelings for Hailey by any of the cast-mates and Hailey melts into a puddle of goo.  She came into the house hoping Tom would take her back, but she knew Tom was seeing Jamie.  I think most of the Real World fans already are on Team Jamie, but at this point it's self-evident.

Brian, Jenny's Ex, is giving Jenny a rub downs and showing his affection for her any chance he can get in the beginning of the episode.  Cory and his Ex, Lauren, are spending a lot of time reconnection. Jay gets smothered by his Ex, Jenna, and she's probably the only person who doesn't know how smothering she is.  She's adorable, but she should be stamped with the same suffocation warning manufacturers put on plastic bags.

The only rational couple in the house right now is Arielle and her Ex-Girlfriend, Ashley.  The two make chili because they're the only sane people in the house at this point and can handle some spice after everyone's relationship drama.

Jay and Cory just want the Exes to leave so that they can pick up chicks at the bar.  Is that so much to ask?  They just want to get hammered before they leave the house, stumble into a cab, get dropped off at a bar, drink some more, hit on some chicks, go back into a cab home, and then look at Jenny.  She's gorgeous, who can blame them?

Jenny throughout the episode plays a good sport with Hailey and Lauren, even while Lauren talks about Jenny and Cory's Friends-with-Benifits deal.  I admire Jenny for her ability to talk to everyone in the house like they're individuals.  It should all be awkward, but she's calm, cool, and collected about everything.

Brownie points for Jenny for being beautiful and having an admirable personality.

Without the label of Tom's Girlfriend, Jamie, with looks to kill, goes out on the town with the rest of the house.  Everything is smooth sailing until Tom grabs on Hailey's legs and the green-eyed monster comes out.  Then the night is over and everyone needs to go into their own corners.

Problems in the house are abundant and drama falls into Jenny and Brian's laps.   Brian criticises her for being too outgoing and wild.  He wants her to act mature and for her to bring her energy level down to a 6, instead of the 15 (out of a scale of 1-10).  This brings up all their previous relationship issues and Arielle comes in as the resident counselor for the house.  Arielle listens to Brian's feelings and then the audience gets introduced to Brian's "Thought Record" technique of sorting out his feelings.

However, he has too much trouble sorting out all of his feelings and the two can't handle being in the same room together. To put him in his place, Jenny does some casual knife play to taunt him as she makes a sandwich.

No big deal.

Meanwhile, Tom has some feelings of his own to sort out.  He calls his dad and asks for some advice on Jamie.  His burning question: Why does she have a wall up?  Maybe because you broke up with her at the first sight of your ex.  His father tells him that he should live for today and worry about the future when it comes up.

With his newly found clarity, Tom wants to talk "about it" with Jamie.  He tells her he wants to live in the "now," and by that he means he wants Jamie to be his Girlfriend again.

Which Hailey obviously isn't happy about.

Tom then tries to talk it out with Hailey and he tells her she is the reason he has so many issues with women.  It turns out Haily had lied about being a virgin when they had sex for the first time, which was the first time Tom ever had sex.

What follows next are my top quotes from Lauren's to and from her excursion at the pharmacy:

"I'm having a really sharp pain in my stomach."

"I woke up and I was nauseous."

"I felt like I was getting fat."

"That's a plus, right?"

"The test says positive."

"I need to go home."

How long have the Exes been in the house?  Certainly not a month and her and Cory have been separated for definitely longer than a month.

Next on the Real World: Ex-Plosion, I am going to assume we will see Cory doing the countdown in his head to when Lauren and him last had sex.  This countdown will be short-lived because it was the first day she showed up at the house.
