When the NBA trade deadline arrives it usually generates a buzz and doesn't disappoint, and yet again it delivered. The Indiana Pacers, pushing for a big finish to the season, traded fans' favourite Danny Granger for struggling Philadelphia 76ers' Evan Turner.

Although the 76ers have had a horrific season, Turner has been a rare revelation, proving to be a reliable scorer and a creative outlet any team would desire. With the playoffs near guaranteed they were looking for a way to improve. Turner increases their chances of matching up against reigning NBA champions the Miami Heat, so it's a wise move for the Pacers.

The 76ers were a big mover and shifted a few players, restructured their finances and stocked up on some fresh talent and much needed draft picks. The 76ers needed to make changes and although these moves may be hard for their fans to take, they had to be made and should ensure a brighter future for this struggling franchise.

Yet again the NBA trade deadline has delivered and found away to restructure the teams as we know them. With all of this done and dusted, fans can enjoy the coming games and look forward to the playoffs, which are only a short while away. Will the Pacers have enough in the tank to win an NBA championship, or to at least beat the Heat, or will they fall short once again? Regardless of the outcome, the trade for Turner can only help them grow as a franchise.
