British media veteran, Piers Morgan, has become a household name in the USA, and his talk show, which was prime time, had become a much discussed show, but it's been announced that it will be cancelled. The former Daily Mirror editor, who's known for saying what those around him are afraid to, is often criticized, but this comes as a surprise. He took over from Larry King three years ago, but the show has had poor ratings, and has only got worse with time.

It will still be on the air for a while, with no finish date in mind, but it shouldn't be around past 2014. The struggles could see Morgan head back to the UK, where is unpopular to say the least. Morgan has had his say telling the New York Times "Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarising, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it,"

It appears Morgan was no longer happy either as he continued "I think I can credibly do news and the ratings reflect that, but it is not really the show that I set out to do. "There are all kinds of people who can do news here. I'd like to do work - interviews with big celebrities and powerful people - that is better suited to what I do well." Some would say that Morgan lost his little popularity in December 2012 when he foolishly debated the US gun law.
