X-Men: Days of Future Past does not hit theaters in the U.S. until May 23, but fans could soon have some footage to hold them over, as director Bryan Singer hinted at a second trailer for the film.

Singer posted some new video footage on Twitter that features Wolverine, Magneto, Mystique, Professor Charles Xavier, Colossus, Bishop, Warpath and more. The caption simply reads, "Get ready. 86 days. #XMen" Check out the brief clip below:

This likely means that the second trailer for Days of Future Past is imminent, but it's unknown at this time when exactly it will drop.

In other news, IGN visited the set of the movie last summer and asked Singer if the events of Days of Future Past could change what happened in previous X-Men movies. As in, could it bring some characters back to life for future movies?

"It could, possibly," Singer said. "I don't want to give that away." He went on to explain how he approached the X-Men film continuity in this newest installment.

"I will say in terms of the way that we play the characters, we're using those [original] movies," he said. "We're not in an alternate universe. We're respecting the continuity the best we can of the previous movies. It's not easy bringing a certain character back to life, but we're doing our best."

That is likely a reference to Charles Xavier, who died in X-Men: The Last Stand but reappeared in the post-credits scene of The Wolverine.

IGN also reports that, during its set visit, Singer was shooting a scene that takes place in 1973 when President Richard Nixon addressed the mutant situation in the United States. Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), young Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and young Beast (Nicholas Hoult), are trying to get onto the White House lawn, but something is about to happen, possibly with Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and a gun.
