Beliebers probably know Chantel Jeffries as the chick that was hanging out with the "Believe" crooner shortly before his DUI arrest in Miami. Rumors began swirling online that the two were actually dating. But according to the aspiring model, she's just "really good friends" with the Biebs - they've never even kissed! Do fans believe it?
In her first-ever interview with E! News on Tuesday evening (Feb. 25), Jeffries told host Terrence Jenkins that she was never romantically involved with Selena Gomez's ex - although the two were spotted partying and "cozying-up" together on several occasions before AND after the pop star's infamous arrest. Asked whether they've ever kissed or shared the same bed, the brunette beauty explains, "We're friends. Do you kiss your friends, Terrence?... Do you sleep in the same bed as your friends?"
Pretty straight forward answer.
Jeffries explains that Bieber isn't a drug addict and he's not "out of control" - these are all crazy "misconceptions about Justin."
According to Jeffries (who met the Biebs through mutual friends), "I'm not around all the time. In the past I don't know what's happened with him, and it's not really my place to say anything." But personally, she's NEVER seen him do drugs.
She couldn't get into details about the Miami DUI arrest for "legal reasons," but insists Bieber "was just happy to be out" of jail. When that happened, the two "friends" jetted-off to Panama for a relaxing vacation.
"I think he just wanted to get away and have some fun, probably thinking Panama would be a place there wouldn't be so much attention," she said.
And as for Jeffries' "gold digger" status?
"If anything, you can say I'm a goal-digger... because, guess what? I have my own goals. And I'm focused on those. I don't really need anybody else... I'm like a strong independent woman."
