Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige is the overseer of the epic and ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe. The studio has projects lined up for the next several years, so needless to say Feige knows a thing or two about what fans can expect to come down the pipeline.

IGN caught up with Feige at the screening of the latest Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King and got the man to clear up a few things about the Doctor Strange movie rumors.

"Well, that article [from The Hollywood Reporter] was true that we're meeting a lot of people now," he said. "That article was not true about who we're meeting or what level anybody is. But we're actively looking."

The site also asked about Johnny Depp, with whom Marvel reportedly met about the role, and Feige replied that those rumors are untrue.

"No, no. When you have a project that's been around as long as Doctor Strange, there is sometimes, 'Oh, I've met with Stan about this! Or I did that!'" he said.  "So Strange is one of those projects that predates me by a long shot. Obviously, the character does, but even in its cinematic brewing. So there's a lot of things that have happened before me, and I've been here 14 years. So that's a long time ago. I don't know if that happened then."

Feige went on to say that a movie star "is not required" for the role, but could be great if it were the right person.

As for the positive reaction to the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer, Feige said "there are a lot of happy people in the offices" at Marvel.

Finally, he said that "it remains to be seen" what announcements (such as Phase Three movies) Marvel would make at this year's Comic-Con.
