The storyline downloadable content for Batman: Arkham Origins will focus on Mr. Freeze and will be called "Cold, Cold Heart." Now, fans know when they can play through the additional missions.

News broke Wednesday that the DLC will be available to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC users on April 22.

The Batman Arkham page on Facebook had posted a vague message in December that read "Save The Date 12.31.2013." The accompanying text read, "Visit this page on December 31st for a special announcement...more details to come next week!" Some fans thought that a new Batman: Arkham game was about to be announced, while others expected DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins.

On New Year's Eve, the page posted the following photo with the caption "You are cordially invited to the Humanitarian of the Year Awards at the Wayne Manor on New Year's Eve." The photo offered a hint in the statue of a woman holding up a heart, but the true announcement was yet to come.

But it all became clear once the page posted the photo below, which shows that same "Wayne Foundation Humanitarian of the Year" award holding up a heart-shaped diamond with large shards of ice directly behind the statue. The caption reads "All-new STORY DLC coming in 2014! More details to come..." but it's clear that Arkham Origins will get a visit from Mr. Freeze when this DLC drops.

In Batman: Arkham City (which is set after Arkham Origins), Dr. Victor Fries aka Mr. Freeze puts his wife, Nora, into cryogenic sleep as he tries to cure her from a fatal disease. Perhaps this Arkham Origins DLC will show the beginnings of Freeze's plight as he struggles to find a way to save the love of his life.
