In June 2013, the boys of One Direction were scheduled to perform a concert at Pennsylvania's Hersheypark Stadium. But the show almost didn't happen after 47-year-old William Klein threatened to blow-up the venue. Thankfully Klien didn't follow through on his threat, and he was recently sentenced to serve eight months in federal prison.

So, what drove Klein over the edge, and why did he threaten the lives of thousands of One Directioners?

Because he failed to 1D purchase concert tickets for his two teenage daughters.

The June 6th show quickly sold-out, and Klein's girls were upset that he couldn't get tickets. One of the daughters even threatened to "never speak to him again." So, if the Klein sisters couldn't see One Direction, their father figured no one should.

Reports confirm he drove to a nearby 7-Eleven in Northfield, NJ and called the venue on June 5. Klein threatened, "If One Direction plays tomorrow, the stadium will blow up."

The show wasn't cancelled, but Hersheypark did amp up security and perform a thorough bomb sweep.

Klein was later arrested after authorities recognized him on surveillance footage from the convenience store. During his recent sentencing, US Middle District Judge Yvette Kane ordered the distraught father to serve an eight month term in federal prison, followed by two months of house arrest with electronic monitoring, and 22 months of probation after his release. Klein ultimate pleaded guilty to an interstate communication with threat to injure charge.

Details surrounding Klein's daughters still remain unknown.

One Directioners may be considered crazy sometimes, but apparently their parents can be even worse!
