Jessica Simpson hasn't been bullied into losing any pounds by Weight Watchers and she wants everyone to know it, according to a recent tweet she posted.

Headlines about Simpson's weight gain popped up everywhere throughout her pregnancy. Now that she has given birth to her daughter, Maxwell Drew Johnson, everyone is wondering when they baby weight is finally going to come off, especially since she scored a multimillion-dollar deal with the weight loss company, Us Weekly said.

But the singer and fashionista just wants everyone to chill out; she's trying to be as healthy as possible. She's even been seen working out at a private gym with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak. So just to set the story straight, Jessica took to Twitter to let everyone know what was going on with her weight loss.

She wrote, "Just so everyone knows . . . Weight Watchers hasn't put ANY pressure on me! I'm trying to be as healthy as I can be for myself and I feel great."

Weight Watchers announced hiring Simpson as their new spokeswoman for North America: "We're thrilled that Jessica Simpson has chosen to join Weight Watchers to adopt a healthier lifestyle and inspire others to do the same. Her talent, resilience and positive outlook already make her a great role model, and by deciding to trade in yo-yo dieting for a healthier lifestyle, we know she will inspire many women to join her."

The weight loss company continued, "From the point when we started speaking with Jessica before she became pregnant, to now when she's had baby Maxwell, Jessica has made clear her commitment to establishing a healthier lifestyle for herself and her family. We look forward to supporting Jessica as she embarks on this next chapter in her life."

Simpson has been known to struggle with her weight in the past, from when she was extremely slim for her Daisy Duke role in "Dukes of Hazzard" to when she was criticized for being "fat" when she showed up to one of her concerts wearing mom jeans.

If she's not getting the support of adoring fans, at least she knows she can count on celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who is commending the star for trying to get slim the healthy way. He said he was "glad" and that "if everyone lived healthier, everyone would feel great too!"

Do you think Jess will be able to ditch the extra pounds?
