Officials in New Orleans are looking to shame the former safety star of the Saints, Darren Sharper in the alleged rape cases.

MStars has learned that they want to humiliate Sharper in public by showing him off in handcuffs, parading him in the streets like Mardi Gra.

The former NFL star is currently sitting in a L.A. jail after New Orleans police put out a warrant for his arrest in connection with 2 alleged rapes. Sharper's lawyers wanted to get him released on Friday, Feb. 28 but the New Orleans prosecutors weren't having it, objecting the request.

The judge does not want the alleged rapist out on bail. They want marshals to come to the L.A. jail, cuff him and take him back to NOLA as a prisoner.

TMZ revealed that Sharper has agreed to fly back to Louisiana to face his charges. He is currently on a $1 million bail in L.A. for 2 rape charges, that are not connected to the charges in other states, including Louisiana.

Five of the jurisdictions that are investigating Sharper's case want to be the first to prosecute him.  They are already battling each other between the agencies.
