Two men shot in Charlotte, N.C. after attending a Tournament party featuring Diddy, Future, and Fabolous ( see video )

MStars has learned that two men were shot, after attending a party that featured rappers Diddy, Future, and Fabolous in Charlotte, N.C. over the past weekend. The city was impacted by thousands of visitors for the CIAA tournament, which led to some arrest and this shooting.

According to the Charlotte Observer, the shooting took place around 2 a.m. in a ballroom, where the party was hosted at the Sheraton Hotel. Thousands ran for their life, and for cover sending them into the streets of Charlotte Sunday morning.

This incident was the first highly covered story of violence during the Big Tournament in the past nine years it has been in Charlotte.

Police and witnesses say that the shooting was led by an altercation that had escalated in a gated off VIP section of the party. Video from the event shows the party goers running from the shots fired, as they try to escape by one door, knocking down each other, and leaving behind shoes, drinks and more.

According to the newspaper, one person was taken to the hospital for his injuries, and the other victim was treated and released. It is unknown if the two men were connected to the rapper Diddy, whose real name is Sean "Diddy" Combs. They were treated in the Revolt founders VIP stage section, according to a witness.

The names of the victims, the suspects, and arrests have not been announced. Police are still investigating the incident.

This news comes at a time where Charlotte and tournament organizers and staff or debating on whether or not to keep the tournament in Charlotte in upcoming years. CIAA Tournament Commissioner Jacqie Carpenter did not make a statement on the shooting due to the fact that it was not a CIAA-sanctioned event.
