Cleveland Indians' John Axford Goes 18-for-18 With Oscar Predictions

When the Cleveland Indians signed closer John Axford it's unlikely 'The Oscars' were on their mind, but he proved his entertainment knowledge was second to none last night, as he correctly guessed all eighteen award winners before they were announced. If Axford has as much success with working out the batters he will face this season, the Indians will be a very, very lucky team.

He was center of attention last night, gaining around 2,500 followers as people followed his predictions, in shock that he was getting them right every time. It's noted that Axford predicted 14 of 15 winners at the Academy Awards a year ago, so this should come as no surprise. His correct guesses are being labelled a "perfect game", which comes as no surprise given his baseball role.

Axford didn't guess for six awards, but was correct in every one he posted about. Perhaps next year he will attempt to go 24-for-24, or he may switch his attention to helping the Cleveland Indians pursue the playoffs, meaning he might not be as well informed this time next season.
