The Cleveland Cavaliers have found it tough to stop some of the weakest NBA teams this season, so it comes as no surprise that they struggled to contain an in form San Antonio Spurs team. With every move the Spurs made it seemed like the Cavaliers were on another planet, and quite simply they just couldn't react quickly enough. The Spurs were masters of its 3-point shooting and grabbed a 122-101 victory Tuesday night.

Danny Green scored 24 points, as Kawhi Leonard added 18 points. Rather than have one man lead from the start, the Spurs spread the ball across the court and played efficiently as a team, with everybody getting in on the scoring act. While everybody chipped in, superstar veterans Tim Duncan and Tony Parker only combined for 14 points, but they needed little else. With the Cavaliers keeping a close eye on the experienced duo, it left gaping holes for the other players to explore.

The Spurs had their season-high with 39 assists, showing a team first emphasis can indeed make winning a lot easier. In the modern NBA it's said you need a superstar to take you far, but the Spurs proved that it can be done without a LeBron James type player.

The Cavaliers will be disappointed, especially after an excellent first quarter, but they won't hold their heads down for too long, as the Spurs are one of the best teams in the NBA, and the Cavaliers were always likely to struggle in this game. On a positive note, Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters both scored 24 points, showing the Cavaliers have a guard partnership to be frightened of, and the newly acquired Spencer Hawes added 20 points and 13 rebounds as he continued his impressive start as a Cavalier.
