Scandal Season 3 Spoilers: 'We Do Not Touch The First Ladies' official episode description

Tonight's new episode of ABC's Scandal will be the latest installment in Season 3. The episode, entitled "We Do Not Touch The First Ladies," will build on last week's reveal that Andrew (Jon Tenney), the new vice presidential candidate, had some sort of relationship with Mellie (Bellamy Young).

Here is the official episode description for tonight's episode:

"Old feelings and jealousies arise at a Presidential event causing Fitz to face a harsh reality. Meanwhile, Quinn tries to prove herself to B613 and Leo Bergen sets up a meeting between Sally and an old friend."

We can probably assume that this "old friend" is Andrew. The end of last week's episode brought up plenty of questions for fans. Did they actually date, or was it just a crush? Were they in love? Was it just a fling? Did Mellie cheat on Fitz, or did her relationship with Andrew predate that?

This week's "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide offers a bit of clarity on the matter during its recommendation for what to watch this week."

"If you thought the twist at the end of last week was intense, just wait until you hear Andrew and Mellie's backstory. Their relationship was more than just a simple crush. It was far more, ahem, scandalous." 

This isn't much of a surprise given the nature of the show, but this nugget of information indicates that something secretive was going on between the two, which could ultimately mean that Mellie was cheating on the eventual President of the United States.
