Just over a week ago, MStars reported that the city of Austin had denied mega pop star Lady Gaga from obtaining a performance permit for this year's SXSW. Well it looks like the city may have had a change of heart. Not only will Lady Gaga be hitting the stage to perform, she will also deliver the keynote address.

Gaga's keynote address is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. on March 14 in at the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton in downtown Austin, TX.

Vibe magazine reports that the conversation will be held by John Norris of Fuse.

In the past, Bruce Springsteen (2012), Smokey Robinson (2010) and Quincy Jones (2009) have delivered the keynote address.

The keynote speech will follow Lady Gaga's performance on the Doritos #BoldStage at Stubb's on March 13.

This performance, Gaga's first in SXSW history, is a joint effort with her Born This Way Foundation.

It was previously reported that the city denied Gaga's performance permit simply because she is too big a draw for the venue to handle.

"The vending machine is set to return to the same location but Lady Gaga and her "little monsters" will have to party somewhere else after the city determined that the venue could not sustain Gaga's level of talent and the crowds that she might draw."

SXSW kicks off this Tuesday (March 11) and will last until March 16 in Austin.
