Phil Jackson and Carmelo Anthony Ready to join forces?

The New York Knicks quickly improved after trading for superstar Carmelo Anthony, but after last year's playoff stint it's safe to say the entire Knicks organization and its fans did not expect the struggling season they've endured so far. Everything that can go wrong has and they appear unlikely to get in to the playoffs, which is a bigger blow given how weak the Eastern conference is this season. Could NBA's greatest ever coach Phil Jackson change things?

Jackson has done it all many times, so it"s not a surprise that struggling teams always look to entice him for one more challenge. Carmelo cam opt out of his contract this summer and test the free agency market, which it seems clear he will do, but the Knicks are prepared to make the necessary changes to avoid this unwanted circumstance. The latest rumours suggest that they have reached out ro Jackson with regards to am advisor or head coach role, and its not so, he has yet to decline. 

Jackson would be a huge improvement for the Knicks, but one can wonder would he be enough to convince Anthony to stay? This could be his last contract of his prime and therefore it"s important Carmelo finds the right team, situation and money and with or without Jackson New York just might not be a safe enough team for Anthony to choose. 

Will Phil Jackson return? Can Carmelo find the success he craves in New York, or should he look elsewhere for his NBA championship opportunity?
