ABC Grey's Anatomy Season 10 Episode 15 Review

This week, April and Jackson face backlash from the rest of the hospital.  Team Stephanie didn't even have to recruit for fans.  There's something about a beautiful, wealthy man ditching his girlfriend and marrying another woman the day of said woman's wedding to another man that makes people angry.  It doesn't help that Matthew, April's fiance, was a kindhearted gentleman that everyone liked.  It also doesn't help April and Jackson's case that Matthew quit his job at the hospital.

Callie and Arizona have to face the music about Arizona and Leah's past relationship.  Leah, being the one who anonymously complained, posed a threat to Callie and Callie had lashed out at her during a surgery.  Leah, feeling threatened lodged the complaint and both Arizona and Callie had to speak with HR.

In other sad Callie news, Derek ditches their joint-research project that they were working on for 6 months.  Callie went to him numerous times to confirm that they would still continue their work even though he had his presidential assignment.  However, McDreamy was all about their research until the presidential team said Callie could no longer use the censors that Derek had been working with.

Alex and Jo had been banished from the OR after their scene in front of the hospital board.  Ths puts Jo in a tough spot, as a student, and Alex acts like it's an attempt for the board to control his life.  In classic Alex mode, he rebels and pretends to not care about the situation.

Meanwhile, Meredith gets Alex a Love contract from HR.  If he and Jo were to sign the contract, they would be declaring they had an official relationship and would have their suspension removed.  Alex, still being classic Alex, refuses to sign the contract.  His worry stems from the kind-of, sort-of proposal he gave to Jo when his dad was dying and the two of them were waiting for the April/Matthew wedding to begin.  He's afraid he'll freak Jo out even more and that she'll pull an Izzy Stevens and leave him.  Whoops.  Also, kudos to the Izzy reference.

On a side note: This Izzy reference will probably lay the memory in fans' mind about the old Greys.  You know, the one with Dr. Preston Burke.  It's a convenient way to bring his storyline back into play with his expected return.

Stephanie had been distracted throughout this episode and knocked into a couple of people with a stretcher, one of which was Avery.  With the hospital's HR overhaul, Avery and Stephanie have to fill out an accident report.  Conveniently, the two are put in a room together to fill out said report.  This gave Avery the opportunity to unburden his pretty, little head of all the guilt he was feeling.  He gets to say he's sorry and wipe the slate clean.  However, Stephanie has other plans in mind.  She declares, "I'm not going to feel sad or angry or pitiable for one more minute... You just exist because I don't care."

Following the dramatic confrontation theme, Callie confronts Arizona.  They were trying to move on with their new house and new shiny ring, but the HR report with Leah kind of put a damper on things.  Callie admits, "I mistreated her and I was petty and I was jealous,  Of course she was right."  Callie knows that she let her feelings get in the way of her job but she blames Arizona for sleeping with Leah and causing the problems in the first place.  Let us not forget that Arizona also cheated on Callie during that one dark and stormy night at the hospital with Dr. Lauren Boswell.  "I'm not sure we'll ever be okay," Callie says.

Arizona confesses that ever since the plane crash, she has not been the same.  Losing her leg was part of it, but she also lost who she was.  She once woke up happy.  She says, "I was someone who used to skate at work... I'm starting to feel like I know who I am again."  She goes onto saying, "I don't need much to be happy, I don't even need to legs, but I do know that I need you."

With that, Callie finds Arizona's signature skating sneakers, which Arizona wanted Callie to throw away, and puts them on Arizona.  The two go in their front yard and skate around,  practicing the once familiar activity while getting a much needed laugh.  Arizona not only gets her skates back, she gets her Callie back, too.
