It seems increasingly likely that New York Knicks' star Carmelo Anthony will leave this summer, and look to find the right team for him once and for all. The superstar forward is desperate for success, and he's willing to make a move similar to the one LeBron James made a while back it seems. The Houston Rockets are a tough team, but seem to lack the cutting edge to win an NBA championship, but could the addition of Anthony help both him, and the Rockets?

The Rockets have already added James Harden and Dwight Howard in recent years, and that pair is enough to scare most NBA teams, but it seems they believe the scoring sensation that is Anthony would be the final piece of the puzzle. They do no have the required cap space, and they might need a flexible sign-and-trade move to make this happen, but the Knicks would look to benefit from any move like this, so it becomes possible, as otherwise they'd lose him to free agency.

The Rockets have Omer Asik who could sweeten the deal and would seemingly interest the Knicks, but it would take a lot more than just Asik to get this deal anywhere near completion. Is this just a silly rumour, or could the Rockets sign Anthony? It's possible, and it's a landing spot that would definitely be of interest to Anthony. The combination of Howard, Harden and Anthony would be worthy of any title contending team. As the clock ticks down to the end of the season there will be countless of rumours like this, but this one holds enough weight that it's worth remembering.
