Mona Scott-Young is speaking out about the copyright infringement lawsuit that has been filed against her, and says she doesn't know that much about the lawsuit, except she is not alone, but made to look like the only bad guy.

Mona was ready for the questions, she claims she is a "rebel" and went right in answering questions.

"I read about it on the blogs just like everyone else did," Mona told Sway Calloway in a recent interview. "I haven't been served anything...The only people they've served are TMZ and Bossip."

Mona, who is the founder of Monami Entertainment and creator of the Love & Hip Hop show, reveals that details on the $50 million legal issue are unknown at this time. The producer didn't deny that the persons against her may have had a similar idea, and claims reality TV concepts can sound alike; but she says she has been in hip hop for years and when you have success something will happen.

"I have to assume there's some basis to it because these are all very legal looking documents," The businesswoman did say that it's easy for one reality TV concept to sound a lot like another.

"So many times there are parallel shows being developed within a network. May the best cast prevail," Mona explained.

MStars recently reported that Mona Scott-Young was being sued by 8th Wonder Entertainment.

Mona is creator of  the successful VH1 show, and says the idea of the show and creation was more about picking out whose lives were interesting enough for TV, not creating a character.

"It's a reality show. I didn't create these people because I didn't give birth to them. All I did was shine a camera on a segment of the population that I knew well...You can't create a reality show. It's reality," Mona said.

Mona also said, "The truth will prevail." She asks Love and Hip Hop fans not to jump to conclusions.

"I just want everyone to use a little common sense when processing the information," she said.
