Rapper Lil Boosie is currently on tour - but concert venue reps should NOT attempt to book him online through Instagram!

According to the Incarcerated emcee, several booking agents have already been victimized by a scam currently sweeping through social media.

TMZ spoke with three individuals who lost loads of money after falling for the fake Instagram flier. One rep named LaToya Thompson called the phone number on the bogus flier, and was connected with a man who introduced himself as "TQ." He claimed to be Lil Boosie's brother.

"TQ" told Thompson to wire him $25,000 in order to secure the rapper for a gig in April. The money officially went through last week, and Thompson hasn't heard from this "TQ" character since.

Two other alleged victims tell very similar stories. Boosie was scheduled to perform last week through "TQ," but he never showed. And that's because the rapper has nothing to do with this phony Instagram promotion. "TQ" has not responded to anyone's phone calls.

Thompson sent TMZ the contract she received from Giovany Productions - the company "TQ" allegedly hooked her up with. The phone number listed on the contract doesn't work. She has since filed a police report, but who knows what might happen with that.

Lil Boosie insists that he NEVER gave permission to any company (including Giovany Productions) to book him. He does have a brother named TQ that takes care of all his tour bookings, but apparently the one on Instagram is a fake. And according to the real TQ, he's also not involved with this ongoing scame. He also plans on filing a police report.

So beware, booking agents interested in connecting with Lil Boosie! Don't use Instagram!
