Details on 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron' filming in South Korea

It's a busy time for The Avengers: Age of Ultron news. On Tuesday, ABC aired a special entitled Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe that offered a look at the concept art for Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and more in The Avengers 2. Writer/director Joss Whedon also said that the sequel would be more "grownup" than the first movie.

Earlier this year, Marvel shot a Hulk vs. Hulkbuster fight scene in South Africa. Now, details have emerged about the film's shoot in South Korea. The Chosun Ilbo that approximately 15 to 20 minutes of Age of Ultron will feature major battle and chase sequences set in Seoul.

"The headquarters of a Korean IT institute on a small islet on the Han River will also play a central role as villainous robot Ultron tries to acquire state-of-the-art technology," the report states.

Korean actress Kim Soo-hyun aka Claudia Kim will play a scientist at the institute, according to the report. It goes on to state, "the core scene set in Seoul involves Ultron laying parts of the city to waste." The film will also show other parts of Seoul besides the destruction from the film's villain.

"A scene in which one of the characters, Iron Man, flies over the Digital Media City in Sangam-dong and Han River Park will show the harmony of nature and the modern beauty of Seoul," a city official says in the report.

Production will close parts of busy areas of Seoul from March 30 to April 14.
