Carmelo Anthony joined the New York Knicks hoping to win, but this season they have regressed, and it looks likely that he will leave this summer. Phil Jackson, fresh after joining the Knicks' organization, informed the media that he wants Carmelo to stay with the team, but who wouldn't? Many have been looking at which teams are prepared to make a run at the star forward, and fingers are pointing at the Chicago Bulls and the Houston Rockets. Which team would he suit?

The 29-year-old forward would be tempted to join the Chicago Bulls, as they have the talented Derrick Rose, but Houston could be in with a shot as they can match him with Dwight Howard and James Harden. Both teams can offer a lot more than the Knicks, and it would take something pretty special to convince Anthony that his future should be in New York.

Anthony joining Chicago would make sense for all involved. They could remove Carlos Boozer, through an amnesty or a trade, and they would have an unstoppable three in Joakim Noah, and the previously mentioned Rose and himself. There would be points, rebounds and power from all three, and they could have all the tools required to match the successful teams like the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma Thunder.

Phil Jackson may be the only shot the Knicks have at keeping their man, and he explained his reasoning behind wanting to keep the star as he said "I have no problems committing to [saying that] Carmelo is in the future plans," He continued "I think Carmelo, as great of a player as he is, he still has another level he can get to. ... Carmelo has had a load to carry this year. He's been remarkable in that. He showed in the last Olympics, coming off the bench and playing a role as a bench player on a magnificent team, that he can play a role if he has to play a role."

Will Phil Jackson be enough to keep Carmelo in New York, or will he run to Chicago or Houston as soon as he can?
