Dressing up for working isn't usually the same as dressing up for a night out on the town.

We tend to think of our typical 9-5 work clothes as dark, boring, and certainly not fit for a night out with our friends.

But what if Mstars told fans you could transform your day clothes from drab to fab?

Well, have no fear, Mstars readers, thanks to the lovely folks at Refinery 29, we now present to you "5 Ways Your Day Duds Can Shine At Night."

1: The Pencil Skirt - "Along with a button-down, this outfit has seen you through many a big-deal budget meeting. But, with all due respect to these 9-to-5 champs, they don't always scream, "Happy hour!" That skirt, however, has potential.."

2:The Blazer - "No other garment telegraphs "badass business lady" quite like the blazer. But, for evening, you'll definitely want to ditch the matching skirt... "

3:The Structured Bag -" It faithfully holds your datebook, your iPad, and that month-old issue of The New Yorker you never quite get through. Why not repay your carryall's loyalty by taking it out for a night on the town instead of trading it in for a flashy, little clutch?"

4:The Sensible Heel - "The two-inch pumps that make running for the bus possible are practically begging to play a starring role in a retro-inspired, ladylike evening outfit."

5:The Tailored Pant - "The close-fitting pant always feels work-appropriate - which is why it's such a good place to play with pattern. With these as your base, it's a short leap to dinner-date wear."

Have a great weekend!
