CM Punk abruptly left WWE nearly two months ago and has not been seen on WWE television since then. In fact, his only true public appearance was on Talking Dead last Sunday to discuss that night's episode of The Walking Dead. Host Chris Hardwick introduced him as Phil Brooks but mentioned fans might know him as CM Punk.

Supposedly, the backstage feeling on Punk has now turned sour. According to PWInsider.com, those behind the scenes at WWE continue to change their opinion about the situation. At first, the attitude was that Vince McMahon would take care of it and everything would work out, but now the tone is reportedly extremely negative when the situation comes up in conversation. The report states the tone has shifted to one of resentment, as some backstage feel Punk made his money in WWE and then just left.

In related news, PWInsider.com also reports that Triple H was likely extremely offended that Punk did not want to work with him at WrestleMania 30 even though the COO would likely never admit that to anyone. Triple H and other higher-ups in the company feel that working with Hunter at an event like WrestleMania is a big deal.

What do you make of all this, fans? Do you think those within WWE have a right to be upset with Punk, or does Punk have the right to leave the company as he did if he was unhappy? Do you think either side could have handled the situation any better? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
