Reports confirm that rapper 50 Cent recently left Eminem's Shady/Aftermath/Interscope record label in order to release his upcoming album (Animal Ambition) independently. That does NOT mean there's any bad blood between Fifty and the MMLP2 rapper. In fact, the Get Rich or Die Tryin' emcee has totally respect for Slim Shady, and still thinks that he's underrated in the industry.

In a recent interview with Noisey, 50 Cent explains:

"Em is really underrated because people have always been talking about him like, 'The White rapper Eminem' instead of just 'the rapper.'"

And does he still feel that same sentiment today, even after the success of MMLP2? Yes:

"Yeah, because the skin color thing is still there. He has so many skills and he's more hood than so many people out there, people still put the skin color before anything and don't give him enough credit. It's like people saying Elvis Presley was only famous because he was White. He had, y'know, the rhythm of James Brown but he had his own thing. He was Elvis. He wasn't just a White man. Things like that are going to be picked up between Black people and White people and anybody. It doesn't mean a person isn't great because they're influenced by something associated with another race. It doesn't matter."

Back in February, Fifty said this about Eminem's "place" in hip-hop to VIBE magazine:

"I think Eminem is more important to Hip Hop than people actually credit him for... Just Black music in general... when it loses its color, artists and people that have been so invested in it, come into it, put their passion in it, and they actually become that good at it? That opens up doors, windows, everything."

In the most recent interview, he then goes on to explain why he decided to leave Shady's label:

"It was a decision we made because it was taking so long. It was a good thing, though. Em[inem] used a little bit of his influence to help me find a better situation for the album, but it all worked out for the best. I'm releasing Animal Ambition now, and Street King Immortal will come out later this year, but I felt like Animal Ambition was important to me because it shows what I'm doing right now."

Meanwhile, Eminem just released more information on his highly-anticipated August 2014 stadium tour with Rihanna. Get more information and updates on "The Monster" Tour here.
