Ex-TV Judge Joe Brown arrested for courtroom tantrum

Judge Joe Brown is use handing down sentences, but this time he is the one in court. MStars has learned that the former TV judge was arrested after allegedly having a tantrum in a Memphis juvenile court.

Brown had appeared in court Monday to represent someone in a child support case and was turned away. TMZ reports that the judge went crazy when he was told that the court staff had no record of the case in question.

The gossip site reveals that Brown became verbally abusive and would not be quiet after being warned several times to calm down. The former TV star was "playing to the peanut gallery" and "incited a near riot."

Brown who is running for D.A. of Shelby County ignored the judges warnings and was arrested for contempt of court.

Judge Joe Brown was cited for contempt 5 times and sent to jail for 5 days. MStars wonders was this a publicity stunt?
