TV's infamous Judge Joe Brown was arrested on Monday (March 24) after causing a near- riot in a Memphis courthouse. Several Twitter fans find the incident entirely amusing.

According to TMZ, the former Shelby County, Tennessee Criminal Court judge allegedly arrived to court to represent a child support case. The only thing is, court staff had no information or record about the case-in-question. So authorities turned Brown away.

He was not too pleased with that.

Brown (who is currently running for DA of Shelby County) reportedly lost it - becoming verbally abusive and disruptive. He was told several times to clam down.

An insider reveals was "playing to the peanut gallery" and "incited a near riot." He ignored the judge's requests to leave, so was ultimately arrested for contempt of court. He was sited a whopping five times, and finally ordered to spend a total of five days in jail.

Check out some audio from the courtroom as Brown was hauled away - he goes completely crazy!

Meanwhile, Twitter fans are having a ball:

@DeMarko_Gage: "I just laughed so hard that Judge Joe Brown got arrested."

@MiPurpleKissez: "Judge Joe Brown in jail which is also freakn hilarious."

@ninjacottonball: "Wait a minute... Judge Joe Brown was arrested? Lawd... someone catch me up. Smh lol."

‏@BtooCold501: "FREE JUDGE JOE BROWN BRUH."

@JustJassie_: "The fact that Judge Joe Brown got arrested tho. Like... What?"

@lawdog1404: "Hey, judge Joe Brown! What kind of bird doesn't fly? A jail bird...."

Here is Brown's viral mighsot - he looks angry!

UPDATE - Brown was later released " on own recognizance," but the judge he verbally attacked is still upset about the brutal disrespect.
