The "Red Wedding" stunned Game of Thrones fans last year, and Season 4 has the "Purple Wedding" in store when King Joffrey prepares to marry Margaery Tyrell. But this is Game of Thrones, so nothing is going to go smoothly.

The "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide reports Cersei (Lena Headey) would do what any mother does when she is not happy with her son's choice of life mate: throw a wrench into the proceedings:

"HBO has already foreshadowed the royal wedding between King Joffrey and Margaery Tyrell this season, but fear not: These nuptials will be far more civilized than last year's traumatic Red Wedding. Still, there will be barbs thrown thanks to those quarrelsome Lannisters. In particular, Cersei doesn't respect the arranged marriage - or her new queen - and will make quick work of publicly undermining her authority."

For Cersei, that could mean any number of things, but our guess is she will lob a few verbal grenades at her new daughter-in-law as only she can.

In related news, Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion, spoke to EW.com and offered a preview of what fans can expect from his character in Season 4:

"Well, to anyone who has read the books, we stick fairly closely to that plotline, and those reversals of fortune really send him down the rabbit hole. What's interesting about this character is how much he changes [this season]. It's remarkable. When Dave and Dan and I met for the first time, they talked about this stuff, and I found it to be so interesting as an actor to go on that journey because he really ends up in a different place than he thought he was going to. It's fueled a bit by anger towards his family, and trying to find his place in the world. You see that some people rely on drunk, funny Tyrion. I think funny and drunk lasts only so long. He sobers up in many ways. And love is in his life [with Shae], and that causes a tremendous amount of damage - because he's vulnerable and he doesn't like to be vulnerable. He's completely stripped of his defense mechanisms."
