Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Spoilers on the Clairvoyant's identity

The Clairvoyant has been the mysterious villain lurking behind the scenes throughout all of this first season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but we have yet to learn the character's true identity. That could soon change as the final seven episode of the season air.

The following comes from the "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide:

"When are we going to find out who the Clairvoyant is on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? - Taryn
Though she wouldn't confirm or deny my theory that the Clairvoyant is someone we already know, executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen promises the reveal is coming very soon. How soon? Well, the April 1 episode - which features the returns of Agents Hand (Saffron Burrows), Garrett (Bill Paxton), Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández) and Blake (Titus Welliver) - is shaping up to be pretty super. I hear one of the returning faces is harboring a big secret and another will wind up on the wrong end of a battle with Deathlok."

In related news, the cast and crew of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. appeared at PaleyFest 2014 on Sunday and dropped some tidbits about the future of the show during a Q&A session.

Executive producer Jeph Loeb said they specifically chose to call the next episode "End of the Beginning" and to air it right before Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens in theaters with the next episode just a few days after the movie's premiere. He also said, to numerous cheers, that the final seven episodes of Season 1 would air uninterrupted after he acknowledged fans' complaints about the scheduling.

Fellow executive producer Jeffrey Bell said the show has long-term plans beyond this season.

"We know where we want Season 3 to end," he said. "And we know which character will still be alive, because this is a Joss Whedon joint."
