Scandal Season 3 Spoilers: Bellamy Young previews Grant children

Scandal returns Thursday with another new Season 3 episode entitled "Mama Said Knock You Out," which features the arrival of Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and Mellie's (Bellamy Young) children.

The on-screen First Lady herself, Bellamy Young, previewed the episode in the "Ask Ausiello" column at TVLine:

This Thursday, we will meet the Grant teens, and the family dynamic is far from The Brady Bunch. 'We had many happy years as a family, but they have been through a rocky road these last few years,' First Lady Bellamy Young previews. 'You read ugly things about your parents in the paper and on the Internet, so yeah, we'll meet them in a fraught moment. You can imagine teenagers in this situation and how they might react!' Of Lost alums Dylan Minnette and Madeline Carroll, Young raves, Scandal has 'incredible, formidable actors who are so capable of carrying this complicated material' - and complicated it shall be. Notes the actress with a laugh, 'It so humanizes Fitz and Mellie to see them try and parent! Nothing can undo you like your own teenagers.'"

E! Online has some first-look photos at the First Family during what looks like an extremely uncomfortable and tense dinner. According to the article, Jerry and Karen must prepare for a live television interview with the President and First Lady at the White House as part of Fitz's reelection campaign.

And lest we forget, the possibility remains that Fitz's father is actually Jerry's father, too, which would make Fitz and his son brothers. Grossed out yet?
