Samuel L. Jackson's character of Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., was a major part of The Avengers because he helped bring the individual superheroes together as a team. But the actor says not to expect much of him in the sequel, Age of Ultron.

Jackson told Yahoo! he wouldn't be too heavily involved in Joss Whedon's sequel because, honestly, there's not much Nick Fury can do when surrounded by all these powered-up people:

"I'm just kind of passing by there you know," Jackson said. "I'm not doing so much, I don't think...Because, it's another one of those 'people who have powers fighting people who have powers.' That's why I didn't get to New York in The Avengers. There's not a lot I could do except shoot a gun."

Jackson's comments become more interesting when one considers the following commercial for Captain America: The Winter Soldier that seemingly spoils that Nick Fury dies during the events of the movie. Captain America/Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) mentions "Fury's last words" during a voiceover in the commercial and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team looks upset during the shot.

Of course, this does not necessarily mean that Fury dies, but some fans and media outlets have speculated that Fury would not survive the events of the film, and this could add some credence to that theory. We'll find out for sure when The Winter Soldier hits U.S. theaters on April 4.

Will Fury survive into Age of Ultron? If so, what will his role be in the film? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
